Training Report - Mt.Teine 7Cairn and Tesseract participated in this training. It was about minus 5 degrees Celsius on the Mt.Teine. It was snowing intermittently. From time to time, the snowfall became very strong. The old Teine Bridge (ref. Training Reports/Mt.Teine 6) was buried in the snow. The snowfall ceased as we approached the aerial cableway station. The summit of the Mt.Teine was hidden by clouds. Tesseract arrived first at the aerial cableway station. His cap under the helmet was snow covered as it had snowed strongly in the climb. Cairn who was extremely bad form delayed considerablly. During the descent, it began to snow again. And the snowfall ceased soon. But the cold of the descent froze Cairn who wasn't used to the winter mountains and he was seized by a hypothermia. Because he didn't pedal enough in order to produce enough heat against the cold of downhill. |
